Vugar Samadli, CEO of Nobel Oil Services awarded certificates to ADA University students for successfully completing an internship program at The Nobel Oil Group of Companies in the frame of the Virtual CEO Talks series hosted by the University in May 2020.

The virtual CEO Talk was hosted by ADA University for its students and alumni. The virtual project’s main idea was to provide students with insights into Top Executive and Senior Management’s personal and academic backgrounds, practical experience, success stories, and useful career-building guidelines. As a result of CEO Talks, students were awarded internships at Nobel Oil Services.

On September 11, 2020 Vugar Samadli met with students in honor of successful completion of their internship period. During the meeting, Vugar Samadli congratulated the students and wished them successful career. In his speech, he urged the students not to be afraid of challenging tasks and always work on their soft skills and work ethics. During candid talks, the students thanked Vugar Samadli for such valuable opportunity and shared their experience at The Nobel Oil Group of Companies. The meeting followed by small award ceremony where the students received their certificates for completing the internship.

On May 13th, 2020 CEO of Nobel Oil Services, Vugar Samadli was the guest of Virtual CEO Talk series hosted by ADA University for their students and alumni. The main idea of the virtual project is to provide students with insights to Top Executive and Senior Management’s personal and academic backgrounds, practical experience, success stories and useful guidelines for career building. Previous participants of the project were from top employers such as KPMG, Pasha Bank, IBAR, Yello Bank, Pasha Holding etc.

During his speech titled 'The Harder the Journey, the Greater the Achievement', Vugar Samadli focused on a career path, its stages by telling his own success story applied to the framework. He regularly used real-life examples and accentuated the importance of choosing a relevant and suitable discipline to study alongside a career path. CEO of Nobel Oil Services highlighted the significance of constantly developing your skills for the job you have, adding extra skills to stay current, building a mindset of resilience and acting with agility in the face of challenging situations. The talk was followed by Q&A session.

During this vulnerable time Nobel Oil Services is responsible to motivate young professionals through such activities and give opportunity to high potential students to start their career in a big company. Nobel Oil Services, along with its subsidiaries, GLENSOL and PROKON, has completed Summer Internship Program 2019.   

Ensuring a highly competitive selection process, the program attracted over 1200 students with 40 percent of the applicants representing foreign countries. Over 20 students studying for bachelor and master degrees were selected as interns to gain practical experience in real-life working environment and acquaint themselves with the business practices and values of the Company. Successful applicants were involved in various fields, such as operations, construction management, HSE, procurement and supply chain management, legal, finance & accounting, human resources, public relations and others.  

“Promotion of the inclusivity and equal opportunities is always a central feature of our recruitment process. We worked to ensure that students from the regions, as well as the capital were considered and selected for the program”, said Ellada Alishova, Group HR Manager of Nobel Oil.  

“We hope that they apply the experience and knowledge they were able to gain at Nobel Oil in their future career pursuits and take an active part in the professional workforce development within their local communities”, she added.  

The internship program is organized by Nobel Oil group of companies with an aim to provide university students with an opportunity to develop professional skills and gain experience while attracting young talents to the Company’s business. The interns were given the unique opportunity to work alongside industry professionals and adopt best practices.

Employees of SDL Nobel took part in the event dedicated to the National Salvation Day. The event was organized by administration of “Baki fehlesi” Plant.

SDL Nobel staff honored the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev and martyrs of Karabakh War and laid a floral wreath to the memorials located at the area of the Plant.

The Director of “Baki fehlesi” Plant congratulated attendees and expressed his confidence in long-term mutually beneficial cooperation.

Nobel Oil Services took part in a Job Fair intended for young people with limited abilities.

At Nobel Oil Services we pay careful attention to people with disabilities and continually strive to ensure working environment where they can express their strengths. Within the group of companies we employ about 90 people related to the category of vulnerable members of society and after this fair we expect to attract new candidates”, said Ellada Alishova, Group HR Manager of Nobel Oil.

“We met a lot of talented and enthusiastic young people and we are glad to provide an opportunity for their career development. We also would like to thank the organizers for arranging a platform for those who to seek opportunities for employment”, she added.

During the event, Nobel Oil Services representatives presented to the students the company’s activities and informed the candidates of available vacancies. Nobel Oil Services received dozens of applications from undergraduates and recent graduates from which several candidates were selected for the first round interviews.

On 22nd of April 2017, World Earth Day, Nobel Oil Services launched children drawing contest on environmental protection. The contest was designed to promote awareness among kids and their parents on importance of environmental protection for people and living world as well as to improve environmental culture. Kids between 4 to 12 were invited to express creatively their thoughts and ideas on the suggested topics.

Nobel Oil Services finalized the contest in June and held the Award Ceremony on  World Environment Day. Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Technology and Engineering Officer presented award to the winners among two age categories, 4-7 and 8-12. A number of drawings won in several nominations, such as “Save our aquatic ecosystem”, “Save the Earth from air pollution”, “Save Wildlife”, “Save green lungs of the Planet”, “The World needs our care”.
